You’ll remember that Star Trek: Discovery was set to launch this month when it was originally announced, and then much to our dismay and to that of thousands of fans across the galaxy the original launch was pushed back until May 2017. Well it would seem we will be waiting even longer to see Discovery take its maiden flight. In a release sent out by CBS we are told the launch date is now flexible.
“Production on Star Trek: Discovery begins next week,” CBS said in a statement. “We love the cast, the scripts and are excited about the world the producers have created. This is an ambitious project; we will be flexible on a launch date if it’s best for the show. We’ve said from the beginning it’s more important to do this right than to do it fast. There is also added flexibility presenting on CBS All Access, which isn’t beholden to seasonal premieres or launch windows.”
So fellow Trekkies…we may just have to wait a little bit longer to see Discovery fly out of space-dock, but by the sounds of it, its going to be well worth it!
